Love beyond the senses

I love you for all you are, not just what might be,

Like winter's bloom adores the spring's soft call.

My love, unasked, flows vast as the deep sea,

In every state, in silence, you are all.

Should taste depart, let your kiss be my last,

A final feast upon my lips to dwell.

If scent should fade, in your fragrance I'd bask,

Your passing by, my last breath's sweet farewell.

Should sounds grow dim, your name would be my choice,

To echo in my heart your voice's song.

If sight should fail, in you my eyes rejoice,

Your form, the beauty I'd recall lifelong.

And touch, if gone, still in your arms I'd find

Our hearts in harmony, no sight, no sound required.

For in my heart, your love's forever enshrined,

It's all I need, by your grace inspired.
